Stone Harbor Classic
A joyful, two-year collaboration with a repeat client and Fenwick Architects resulted in a new beach home and a breezeway-connected guest cottage that feels as if it has been passed down through generations. To imbue heritage, Bergman Vass utilized reclaimed wood flooring, board and batten on the walls, nautical motifs, and vintage tile. A chef’s kitchen was designed to accommodate the family’s penchant for entertaining; likewise, the living areas, inside and out, beckon with ample, beautifully upholstered furnishings and singular vintage finds. Arts & Crafts-inspired bobbin-turned pieces throughout lend a timeless, playful character. The striped stair runner, a ship model, and watercolors of fish make the stair hall seaworthy. In the bathrooms, traditional tile patterns appear fresh and contemporary. The overall composition of the home is light-filled and warm.
