Lower Merion Transformation
This older ranch house received a new outlook designed by Bergman Vass. The renovation and addition for a newly married couple (and their cats and dogs) created a bright and elegantly casual home where they can recharge. Transformational, the new floor plan maximizes flow and utilizes the scullery concept as the owners love to entertain but are not cooks. The new galley-style scullery behind the stove wall features handsome white oak cabinetry that houses the clean-up sink, dishwashers, and refrigerators. The large Calcutta quartz island, free from clutter, is the perfect place to gather with friends. The adjacent dining area carries the clean lines and natural wood finish into the steeply pitched paneled ceiling. Large floor-to-ceiling casement windows and sliding doors frame views of the patio and garden; a lovely outdoor backdrop for the dining space. The level of detail throughout the home exudes warmth and comfort.
