Gladwyne Chic
Bergman Vass transformed this home into a luminous retreat away from the demands of work and travel. The design features a neutral palette that flows through the open plan to frame gorgeous views of the surrounding landscape. The emerald green of the de Gournay “Kiso Mountains” wallpaper mimics the hills outside while other moments of rich color such as the buttery apricots of the velvet upholstery, the sensuous warmth of the paneled wood ceiling, or the violet tones of a painting by Yayoi Kusama (1929) capture the eye. Reflective glass, polished metals, and mirrored surfaces are a foil to the plush textures and fabrics throughout this serene place.
